1. Coaching is NOT Professional or Licensed Therapy or Counseling or Treatment for Substance Abuse.

The client understands that as a specialized form of consulting, personal coaching is not the same as professional or licensed therapy or counseling and that the client is free to reject any advice, suggestion or request from the coach at any time. Coaching is not intended as a replacement
for counseling, psychiatric interventions, treatment for mental illness, recovery from past abuse, professional medical advice, financial assistance, legal counsel, or other professional services.

2. Client’s Responsibility for Growth

The client understands that he/she is responsible for his/her progress during his/her time of coaching, which includes his/her choices and decisions, and that no guarantees are made about the results of coaching. A coaching program may include brainstorming, values clarification, the completion of written assignments, education, goal setting, identifying plans of action, accountability, making requests, agreements to change behavior, examining lifestyles, and questioning.

3. Respecting Faith and Values 

The Christian coach is a committed follower of Jesus Christ and seeks to live in accordance with this commitment. The Christian coach is honest in making this revelation, but she respects the different values and beliefs of others. 

4. Session Length and Frequency

Each session will last for 50 minutes but could go longer at no extra charge. The frequency of meetings will be determined at the onset of the coaching relationship. Efforts will be made to accommodate schedules. Weekly is recommended for the course.

5. Appointment Times 

The client agrees to be available by phone via Zoom or in-person to meet the coach promptly at the scheduled time. If a problem arises that requires rescheduling, the client must contact the coach as soon as possible or no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment (except in the event of an unforeseen emergency). 

6. Missed Sessions 

If the client misses the appointment, it will be counted as a used session (except in the event of an unforeseen emergency). 

7. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy 

A client or coach may cancel or reschedule an appointment at least 48 hours in advance of an appointment. In the case of illness, emergency, or catastrophic event, an appointment may be canceled and rescheduled at any time. 

8. No Refund Policy & Expiration of Packages 

There are no refunds for used or unused coaching sessions. It is the client’s responsibility to book their appointments. Coaching package expire within 2 months of the first appointment. 

9. Termination of Coaching by the Coach 

The coach may terminate the coaching process should counseling become a better solution for moving forward. That recommendation may be made by the coach at any time. 

10. Termination of Coaching by the Client 

The client may terminate coaching at any time, understanding the no refund policy is effective upon signing this agreement. 

11. Confidentiality and Trust Except in Violation of the Law or Safety of Client/Others 

Coaching is a confidential relationship. The coach agrees to keep all information strictly confidential, except in those situations in which such confidentiality would violate the law or could jeopardize the safety of the client or others.

All client under 17 or younger, require the signature of the parent and/or legal guardian.

CONFIDENTIALITY All communications, records, and contacts will be held in strict confidence and will not, except under the circumstances explained below, be disclosed to anyone unless you give written authorization to release the information. The exceptions include: 

(1) You disclose the intent or plan to harm yourself or others, child abuse, elder abuse, or dependent adult abuse. 

(2) In legal situations, when court-ordered by a judge. I am required to disclose information to comply with the law in that situation. 

(3) Your case may be discussed in the context of clinical supervision in order to ensure that you receive the best possible care. 

According to the ethics of the coaching profession, topics may be anonymously and hypothetically shared with other coaching professionals for training, supervision, mentoring, evaluation, and for coach professional development and/or consultation purposes.

12) Binding Effect

This Agreement shall be binding upon the parties hereto and their respective successors and permissible assigns.
